Reflection on the journey of MPU Program

For the past week, I had learn a lot from our lecturer, Mr Irwan about life and future plans. I think this program is very beneficial and it has create safe space for us to express our thoughts and desires for life. In life, it is important to know what we need to do in order to achieve success and thus know ourselves better in a sense that we make an effort to learn and discover our talents and abilities.

Other than that,  I had made a lot of friends and made such a great teamwork throughout the program, it allows me to get to know peoples criteria and ability and this shows how unique human beings are because we can be different in numerous ways but amazingly, we were able to get along with each other and give cooperation very well.

It is also important to be responsible and punctual as a student of knowledge, and also honour and respect the knowledge we gained not only in studies but also from meaningful experience that we had gone through in life because it may lead to many posibilities which can hopefully make us a better person in the future.

I guess this is my last post for MPU program at Taylor's College for now, hope I can create more blogs that can give more inspiration to others with interesting topics soon!

With love,

Reflection.noitcelfeR

Reflection is the best way to make us ponder and realise about ourselves without lies and doubts.
It's a crystal clear view about something that we shall not noticed until we take time to look back at the actions and thoughts we had done, whether it is postively inclined or otherwise.

What I had reflected in life was simple and meaningful. For certain reasons, I believe life is a cycle and an extraordinary journey before I reach my destination which is the hereafter. I have this strong believe that this life was made on purpose. Its a good thing to keep it in mind because it will make us more conscious and aware on what we do and think in life.

I have quite an interesting journey for the past 18 years on earth, there has been ups amd downs in life which we cannot avoid but also we should think and reflect that what ever had happened in life was planned and destined for us to make us stronger and hopefully a better person.

Basicly, my aim in life is to worship and seek knowledge for the sake of goodness in life and the hereafter. It may sound simple and plain but there's much more to it if we take time to appraise the situation.

In my opinion, life is not a waste and must not be be wasted because it is amazing and we should make our lifes memorable and fascinating as possible although, there's always something more to it that we have yet not discover.

One thing in life that I've learnt, we should live life as if its our last day and always be conscious that our time in this world is too short and we should not live life in vain.

Last but not least,
A question we should ask ourselves everday, "How do I want my life to end?".

Thank you.

Learning Styles of Khazis and Cristy Tan

Muhammad Luqman Khazis bin Ismail(Group 2), who prefers to be called as Khazis has his own style of learning which is by visualisation. The intakes of learning that he prefers are such as underlining notes in different colours and highlighting important points.

After he had understand all the points, he would redraw the ideas from his memory to make it more simply and eye-catching for later revision. He also reconstruct the points he understands in different ways to make it more interesting and widely expand his points in certain topics that requires explanation.

Luqman Khazis

The output he gets from these methods is that it would help him to implement it in class or exams because he would recall the drawings he made in his notes. During exams, he will turn his visualisation of notes into words. For all the reasons why he prefers to do his notes in diagrams and mind maps is that he rarely likes handsout and lectures that are long or too detailed.

Cristy Tan

Cristy Tan Hui Ling(Group 2), who prefers to be called as Cristy has her own specialised way of learning which is by kinesthetic approach. The intakes she uses in her learning method is from real-life examples or lectures, that has real meaning and in practical. She likes to application ideas and hands-on approaches to make her more understand and get the crystal clear view by the information given.

In order to increase her understanding and give more effort in her studies, she will try to recall by remembering the "real" things that happened and would actively talk about what she understands about certain topics according to her notes. She likes to illustrate her ideas graphically such as pictures and photographs. Moreover, it would be helpful for her to recall from experiments and field trips.

In addition, Cristy would also ensure she does her best before sitting for exams, so in order for her to perform well, she will use these ways to help her score in exams, such as creating the exams mood to make her less anxious and nervous on the real day of exams. She can learn from her mistakes and able to polish her skills and efficiency in answering critical thinking questions.
Thus, she feels that these methods are sufficient for her studies and still are developing new ways and methods of learning for her future.

Thank you.

Introduction to SofiaSMNasimudin

Hello, my name is Sharifah Sofia binti Sheikh Mohd Nasimudin. I was born on 10th march 1997 in Kuala Lumpur. I'm the youngest in the family and I have five siblings who are much older than me which is a great pleasure to be surrounded with. Being surrounded with this mature people had made me realise faster about life compared to most people. I've been living in a blessed life, with a supportive family and good friends with a mixture of trials and turbulation which makes my life more  interesting and colourful and gives me strength in life throughout any hardship.

Well, I had achieved most of my goals in life which are mostly related to being a succesful person mentally and spritiually. I think my biggest achievement is that I'd travelled to Yemen to study Arabic lauguage for the sake of knowledge and I had a lot of time to ponder in life throughout that journey.
I was able to study there for 2 months and amazingly I was able to understand and speak in arabic well for that short period of time compared to my time before I went to Yemen, I was not able to understand or speak a single word in arabic, so I believe it was my biggest achievement in life for now because the knowledge that I gained from Yemen can be implement throughout my life as a student of knowledge.

Other than that, I had travel around the world such as South Africa, New Zealand, Dubai and Palestine for the past few years and it has been a great journey for me to see the different ethnics and culture possessed by other people around the world. It does give me a different perspective in the way I think and feel about them, from being extremely poor to some being extremely wealthy. I had been to one of the 7 wonders of the world which is Petra.

As I'm very interested in understanding and observing human's reaction which involves body lauguage and mindset, I have decided to pursue my studies in Human Psychology as my main option after ending my college life but as we all know we can't always get what we planned in life so for that, after giving a thought about the pros and cons in what I want to do after college, I finally decided to further my studies in Accounting in United Kingdom. It may sound strange from being interested in Human Psychology to Accounting but for me, it's a great pleasure to help my family in financing our businesses, I can leave something that would be beneficial for my family in the future and not just study for what I  love but also give something that is very valuable in life which is knowledge.

I've dream of pursuing my studies in UK for the good quality of education and surrounding that which can lead me to become a better person that which I believe its not impossible as everyone can achieve what they really want as long we have the courage and believe on what we can do.

LSE is my first university of choice because of its top achievements in producing brilliant students throughout the globe. I chose LSE because of its top rank in accounts compared to other universities in UK. I would relatively choose other universities such as Warwick, Strathclyde and Bath. It would be an honour for me to learn from outsiders and adapt their skills and way of working to help me be as competitive as them.

I have done an extreme acts that normally people my age would not consider to do such as travelling alone to Palestine without any family or friends within the journey. Because the situation now in Palestine had never been worse would have increase my risk travelling there and to sacrifice my life for the sake of feeling empathize towards society and mankind.

I had also tried an amazing stunts like bungy jumping in South Africa near the Victoria Falls.
It was extraordinary for me to had tried jumping off a bridge about 111 meter over the swift river and absolutely blows my mind in ways that I don't even realised. It has made me really appreciate life more and should enjoy the rest of my life with no regrets.
